About Me

I am a current student-athlete in the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. I am in an accelerated “3+1” program that allows me to receive my master’s degree after 4 collegiate years. Being a part of the University Baseball Team has taught me the importance of accountability, teamwork, and discipline. I also have experience working in the business world, as I completed an internship in the summer of 2025 at Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut. This internship gave me hands-on experience of what working in business is like. I learned a lot of new skills and polished the skills I already had.

During my summer internship at Travelers, I was taught that success in a large organization depends not only on your role but also on the relationships you build. While it would have been easy to stay within my immediate team, I wanted to use the internship as an opportunity to better understand the company and the people behind it.

Throughout the summer, I made an effort to network across departments. With some help from my boss, I introduced myself to employees at different levels and set up coffee chats to learn about various career paths. I came prepared with thoughtful questions, listened actively, and followed up after conversations to build genuine, lasting connections.

By the end of the internship, I had developed a strong network across multiple teams at Travelers. These relationships gave me valuable insight into the organization, strengthened my professional communication skills, and helped me leave the internship with confidence and meaningful connections—demonstrating my initiative, curiosity, and ability to build relationships as a dependable and engaged employee.
